Media Training at SLW

This hands-on training course is designed to equip volunteers and staff serving on the Media Team at the St. Lucie West campus. Participants will learn the technical and creative skills needed to serve effectively in worship gatherings and ministry events, including operating the soundboard, following our photography and videography standards, and understanding the heart behind why we serve through media. Whether you’re brand new or looking to sharpen your skills, this course will help you steward the message of the gospel with clarity, creativity, and excellence.

Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, you will:

• Confidently operate the campus soundboard, including setup, scene loading, troubleshooting, and proper shutdown
• Understand best practices for live event photography and capturing meaningful moments
• Follow Sunlight’s videography guidelines, including framing, editing principles, and publishing standards
• Learn how media serves our mission by enhancing worship, storytelling, and communication
• Build teamwork, responsibility, and trust within the media ministry
